Sir Knight William Jackson Jones, GCT

The Fifty Third Grand Master of the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar and President of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, 2000-2003

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Most Eminent Past Grand Master William Jackson Jones, GCT, on January 31, 2022. He was a true Masonic Christian Gentleman who will be greatly missed by his family, Masonic and Templar family, dental patients, and community. He presided over our fraternity with leadership, style, grace, and kindness. We will always remember his warm, friendly handshake, brotherly hug, and big smile every time he saw you.

He also presided as the Most Illustrious Grand Chancellor of the Grand College of Rites of the USA in 1999 and as the Most Eminent Grand Preceptor of the Grand College of America, Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests in 2001. He was an active participant in many local, state, national and international Masonic Bodies. He also held several civic positions in his hometown of Villa Grove, IL.
