Knights Templar Eye Foundation 2026 ARVO Annual Meeting
This May, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) held its annual meeting in Denver, attracting more than 11,000 attendees and once again setting a new attendance record.
Since its founding in 1955, the Knights Templar Eye Foundation has continued to expand both the number and size of its grants while launching new initiatives in ophthalmology research and education.
In 2015, the Foundation began funding Travel Grants. In that first year, only 59 grants were awarded. Today, with annual funding increased to $100,000, the Foundation was able to award 95 Travel Grants this year alone.
We believe this program is an important expansion of our support efforts. By extending a helping hand to researchers at the beginning of their careers, we hope to encourage and accelerate advancements in vision research and ophthalmology. For many ARVO members, Travel Grants make the critical difference in being able to attend the Annual Meeting and present their research.
